Our Walking Group have enjoyed some lovely walks this year – to Upton Country Park, Hengistbury Head, Moors Valley, Swanage and the New Forest. Fitness has improved, new friendships have formed and stops at cafes for refreshments have been particularly enjoyed! We look forward to more walks in 2017.
Dorset Dolphins VI Cricket Team enjoyed a fantastic season, finishing on a Home match win against Berkshire Stags. Dolphins ended up 4th in the BCEW Southern & Eastern Regional League. Fun news during summer 2016 – as the Pokemon Go craze hit the UK, we were amazed to find that our very own Rooper Hall had been designated as a Poke Stop!
Members and guests attended a lovely Tea Party to celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday in our Rooper Hall on Saturday 4th June 2016. With Tea kindly supplied by Tesco Castle Lane and entertainment by Roseanna Bowen, a wonderful afternoon was enjoyed by all!
